Okay, I'm sorry, but this isn't a "strict definition" thing. RIN isn't an OVA. Period. That label isn't a "genre," with the inherent vagueness of genre, it's a description of how it was initially distributed. It's black-and-white. Ero guro, funny episode lengths and intervals, low episode count...it can have any number of those, but it still originally aired on TV before it ever hit DVD. Which term you feel more comfortable using is irrelevant. Which category it more resembles in content is irrelevant. The only thing that label, "OVA," Original Video Animation, actually means is that it was on DVD/VHS/Laserdisc before it was anywhere else. And RIN wasn't.
