Kanon Concert

At kanon wakeshima concert. Opening act is a local band which isn’t too bad. Vocals kind of suck though. #otakon

I liked the opening act. It was a local band that does j-rock style.

The lead was sang just like one of those glam j-rock dudes, but it turns out he was actually a girl! (o_o)

@Scott that was either a really boyish girl or a very girly boy…pretty ambigous I thought.

Wow, Kanon is fantastc. (o_o)

Cute singing, cute gothic Lolita outfit, and very talented chello player.

Kanon wakeshima is a pretty cool dude, sings plays chello and isn’t afraid of anything. #otakon

On a serious note, kanon wakeshima’s style is refreshingly unique. #otakon

Omg! #kanon was amazing! Her voice was lovely and powerful and her cello was wonderful! We’ll report back soon!

Masquerade and Reni

Back in Baltimore for day 2 of Otakon. Still debating the Masquerade. Really wish it wasn’t in the Arena.

I can’t believe the lack of love for Masquerade.
Edward Sizemore:
I love the bad acting, the bad writing, the obscure jokes… Cosplay contest feels like quinessental fan love.
Edward Sizemore:
I fell in love with the cosplay contest the first time I saw it. Maybe part of it is my love for bad movies 50’s sci-fi films.

She dresses as a rabbit girl but signing a smoky torch song. The disconnect is wild.
